Admissions for the session 2010-2011
 

ADMISSION
 
Programme 1:  MA English (in Affiliation with Panjab University, Chandigarh)
 
As per guidelines provided by the Panjab University, Chandigarh.

 
Programme 2:  PGCTE Course (Post-Graduate Certificate in the Teaching of English Course)
 
Either MA in English Or BA / BEd (with teaching of English as one of the subjects)
The District Education Officers of the various states recommend the names of teachers to be sent for training. The nominations are routed through the Director, Public Instruction (Schools) of the respective states.

No. of Seats = 40

Would-be-teachers can apply directly on the prescribed proforma. Their admission is subject to:

a) number of seats: 15
b) qualifying interview


Programme 3:  RIE Certificate in Personal Development

This is a 90-hour programme consisting of 8 modules is aimed at developing skilled professionals for the job sector. The course aims at imparting training in Communication skills, Interpersonal skills, and Computer skills to the job seekers. The course is essentially meant for young job aspirants: students of colleges and fresh graduates. This year the programme is being carried to the Govt. colleges of the Administration.
